CapeCook - Rustic  South African Food

It’s all about the braai


Ingredients:


250g ground beef

1 tin red kidney beans

1 tin chopped tomatoes

4 red chilies chopped

1 yellow pepper chopped

1 onion chopped

3 cloves garlic chopped

Bunch of coriander

Salt

Pepper

Oil


Method:


Fry the onions, chili, pepper and garlic in a little olive oil until the onion are soft, add the ground beef and fry until nice and brown, flavor with salt and pepper and then add the kidney beans and the tomatoes, simmer for about half an hour on a low heat, most of the juice of the tomato must evaporate, add the chopped coriander and mix through, taste and flavor with more salt and pepper if necessary.


I eat anything that looks remotely saucy with mash and this work as well as anything with mash.
